Pakistan has expressed its “grave concerns” over attempts by New Delhi to “change the demography of Jammu and Kashmir State.”

Addressing reporters during his weekly press briefing in Islamabad, Pakistan Foreign office spokesperson Nafees Zakaria said that “grave human rights violations in Kashmir and “unprovoked” firing on this side of the Line of Control and attempts aimed at changing demography threaten regional peace with consequences for global peace and security.

Zakaria said that Pakistan has warned that “Indian belligerence” towards its neighbours threatens not just regional but international peace and security.

"India is creating hurdles in the way of its neighbours and this has direct bearing on regional and global peace and security," Zakaria was quoted as saying.
